Apple unveils iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus

<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$0" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
At
 its Apple Keynote event on September 7, Apple unveiled the next
generation of iPhone. It’s “the best iPhone we’ve ever created,” CEO Tim
 Cook said on stage.</div>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$1" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
The
 iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus comes with 10 major new features, as senior
vice president of hardware engineering Phil Schiller put it.</div>
<h3 class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$2" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
<b>1. Slick new design </b></h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$3" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
The new phone has a high-gloss finish, with seamless lines all around. The camera is more smoothly enclosed and protected.</div>
<h3 class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$4" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
<b>2. The home button has changed<br /> </b></h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$5" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
The
 home button has changed in a major way: it is no longer a button you
click, which is what you’re used to. The home button is now
“force-sensitive, solid-state” and runs on a “taptic engine.” It feels
more like the trackpad on a laptop. This change was widely rumored ahead
 of time.</div>
<h3 class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$6" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
<b>3. Smoother, stronger phone enclosure </b></h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$7" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
The
 iPhone is now water and dust-resistant. To illustrate, Apple showed a
photograph of a kid falling into a pool, holding his iPhone.</div>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$7" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">

5. The retina HD display</h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$14" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
The
 display is 25% brighter than the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, and displays
cinema standard “wide color gamut” range of colors. To demonstrate the
significance of the new color range, Instagram head of design Ian
Spalter came on stage in a colorful shirt and had someone snap a photo
of him, live, and convert it to a GIF-style Instagram boomerang.</div>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$14" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">

6. The speakers are stereo-quality</h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$18" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
The
 new speakers are of much higher quality, with one at top and one at
bottom. They have an increased range and, Schiller said, “will really
blow you away.”</div>
<h3 class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$19" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
7. The headphone jack is gone; headphones connect through the USB port</h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$20" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
As
 was rumored, Apple removed the headphone jack, and will connect its
earbuds over its lightning USB port. Schiller acknowledged that many
people have headphones that connect through a headphone jack, so Apple
is offering an adapter.</div>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$20" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">

8. New wireless earbuds: Apple AirBuds</h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$23" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
As
 part of removing the headphone jack, Apple unveiled a completely new
product: Airbuds, wireless earbuds that connect using Apple’s W1 chip
and can access Siri with a double-tap. “We believe in a wireless
future,” design head Jony Ive said in a video. A single step connects
Airbuds to iPhone 7 or to Apple Watch 2. Apple AirBuds do not come with
the phone; they’ll cost $159.</div>

9. Advances to ApplePay</h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$26" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
On
 the new iPhone 7, ApplePay will work with FeliCa, the NFC technology in
 Japan; thus Apple can launch ApplePay in Japan in October. The iPhone
7, iPhone 7 Plus, and Apple Watch 2 will all have this new version of
ApplePay.</div>
<h3 class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$27" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
10. Better performance all around</h3>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.0:$28" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
Apple’s
 chip team, Schiller said, “is killing it in performance.” The iPhone 7
and 7 Plus has a new generation chip: A10 Fusion. The new chip is 120
times faster than the chip in the first iPhone, and it is 50% faster
than the graphics-loading of the previous A9 chip.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
re is absolutely no question,” Schiller said, “A10 Fusion is the fastest chip ever in a smartphone.”</div>
<div class="canvas-text Mb(1.0em) Mb(0)--sm Mt(0.8em)--sm canvas-atom" data-reactid=".wirbd8hvk2.$0.0.0.1.2.0.2.0.0.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas-Proxy.$Col1-0-ContentCanvas.0.4.2.$31" data-type="text" style="letter-spacing: .01em;">
Finally: The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus has the longest battery life yet, Apple says.</div>

The
 iPhone 7 starts at $649. iPhone 7 Plus starts at $769. Oh, and there is
 no longer a 16GB iPhone size; the options now begin at 32GB of storage.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">More than an estimated 100 million <b>iPhones</b> are being used in the United States, according to new data shared by Consumer Intelligence Research Partners [PDF]. At the end of the September 2015 quarter, more than 101 million <b>iPhones </b>were in use, and two-thirds of those iPhones were newer <b>iPhones</b> that have been released in 2014 and 2015.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">An estimated 58 million of the 101 million <b>iPhones</b> in use were the <b>iPhone 6 </b>or 6 Plus, while four million were<b><a href="http://ittouchit.blogspot.com/2014/09/iphone-6-plus-review-first-really-well.html" target="_blank"> iPhone 6</a>s</b> and 6s Plus models.<b> <a href="http://ittouchit.blogspot.com/2014/09/iphone-6-plus-review-first-really-well.html" target="_blank">The iPhone 6, 6s, 6 Plus, and 6s Plus</a></b> are the four iPhones that have larger 4.7 and 5.5 inch screens, and the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 appears to be the most popular model. CIRP's data was gathered in September, shortly after the iPhone 6s launch. iPhone 6s and 6s Plus numbers are likely much higher now. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">'The analysis shows the continued strength of the <b><a href="http://ittouchit.blogspot.com/2014/09/iphone-6-plus-review-first-really-well.html" target="_blank">iPhone 6 and 6 Plus</a></b>, now one year old,' said Mike Levin, Partner and Co-Founder of CIRP. 'We estimate a combined 60 million of these flagship phones sold in the US from the September 2014 launch through September 30, 2015. For comparison, the iPhone 5S sold about 28 million in the same period in 2013-2014. With only a weekend of availability in the quarter, we estimate 4 million of the new<b> iPhone 6s</b> and 6s Plus sold in the US.'CIRP's data suggests that while the larger-screened iPhones make up a large chunk of the iPhones in use in the United States, iPhone adoption is slowing as the U.S. market matures. For the past eight quarters, the iPhone installed base grew an estimated average of eight percent, but the installed base grew four percent in the September 2015 quarter and six percent in the September 2014 quarter. Growth numbers were as high as 17 percent in the December 2013 quarter following the launch of the iPhone 5s and 5c.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">As the U.S. market becomes saturated with <b>smartphone</b> owners, <b>Apple</b> has increasingly focused its attention on luring customers from Android and other competing platforms. Apple has introduced a new 'Move to iOS' Android app, an Android-switching microsite, and a trade-in program for Android users looking to switch to an iPhone.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">If a PC company had flat sales, you might think its CEO would go "phew, not bad when the overall market is declining." Not really though: Lenovo, HP, Dell, Acer and Asus all<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><em style="border: 0px none; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;">increased</em><span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>sales this past quarter<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>even though the overall market declined. <b>Apple</b>, too. <span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">So flat iPad sales -- in spite of what Tim Cook may say -- is alarming to Apple and Apple watchers. Moreover, now that <b>Apple</b> is selling larger <b>phones</b>,<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>people are realizing<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span>that you don't need a big <b>phone</b> and a small <b>tablet</b>. <span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">The <b>iPad</b> may not be one of the weak, but it is not one of the strong either. What should <b>Apple</b> do? The company has two options: 1) make the iPad more appealing to a new market segment, and/or 2) deliver the same proposition to the existing market segment better.</span></span></div>

<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">Instead, <b>Apple</b> chose to focus on the second strategy: doing the same thing better. The <b>iPad </b>2, 3 and 4 basically had the same body, so pundits were somewhat surprised to see a noticeably streamlined iPad body for the second year in a row. Perhaps that speaks to the urgency driving <b>Apple</b> with its <b>iPad </b>line.</span></span></div>
<div style="background-color: whitesmoke; border: 0px none; color: #222222; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 25px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b>Apple's</b> strategy with the<b> iPad</b> <b>Air</b> is clear with the sequel -- they want to improve the Air enough to make the <b>iPad mini</b> obsolete (and potentially other competing small tablets in the process). The key to doing that is reducing the iPad Air's weight. A larger tablet does everything better than a <b>mini </b>tablet except portability, and specifically, being able to hold the device in one hand while you read. Large tablets were too heavy for that purpose.</span></span></div>
<div style="background-color: whitesmoke; border: 0px none; color: #222222; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 25px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">That may change with the<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span><b>iPad</b> Air 2, which is 18% thinner and 7% lighter than its predecessor.</span></span></div>
<div style="background-color: whitesmoke; border: 0px none; color: #222222; font-style: normal; font-variant: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 0px 25px; text-align: justify; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">I considered purchasing the first<b> iPad</b> Air when it launched and while at the store I tested for "one hand holdability while lying down in bed" (don't ask how). It was just a shade too heavy. That will be the test I give the<b> iPad</b> Air 2 again. If it passes, the iPad mini is truly dead and buried. </span></span></div>

not have some of the niche functions seen in other Android <b>devices</b>, but

right, though, at just $99 with two-year contract and $499 with no
contract. Compare that to the lowest priced iPhone 6 at $649 and you can
 quickly see the value in the Moto X.</span></span></div>

With a screen size measuring 5.5-inches across the diagonal, it’s well into the field labeled “phablet” on the early sea charts of mariners who’ve braved the Android waters. However, <b>Apple’s</b> version of a <b>Smartphone</b> that strains the inclusion of “phone” in any word telling it might revelation even those dead set against the trend toward ever-bigger <b>mobile</b> screens.</span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b><span style="color: #0b5394;"> </span></b><br />    Larger screen is great for productivity and media consumption<br />    Battery and camera obviously better than <b>iPhone 6</b></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /><br /> </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><b><span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-size: x-large;">Design</span></span></b><br /><br />The <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b> is accurately an exaggerated version of the <b>iPhone 6</b> in terms of its physical design, with extent stretched to accommodate its much larger 5.5-inch display. It’s 0.01-inches thicker, just under half-an inch wider, and just under an inch taller than the <b>iPhone 6,</b> and you’ll notice each of those increase in the hand, including the additional thickness, even if it is just a shade of difference. In terms of carrying and holding the device, the additional size makes for a less ‘perfect’ ergonomic quality, something the<b> iPhone 6</b> absolutely achieves, but there’s still lots to love about the engineering design of the 6 Plus.<br /><br />Like the <b>iPhone 6</b>, it benefits from rounded edges and smooth surfaces that recall the iPad mini and iPad Air. The curved sides make it easier to page back and forth through content with swipes, and it’s easy to imagine how a design with right angles would’ve resulted in an uncomfortable grip with a device this size. The screen is also the star here, and that 5.5-inch high res beauty is set off by thin side bezels, and top and bottom bezels that appear much smaller since they take up a far smaller entitlement of the overall front surface of the device.<br /><br />Attention to detail is <b>Apple’s</b> forte, and that’s apparent in the way the volume keys, relocated power button (it’s on the right side now) and lock switch are all machined. Perforations including the speaker holes on the bottom right are similarly well-executed, and overall the sense you get of the i<b>Phone 6</b> Plus is one of extreme high quality, which is not something that can be said for the rest of the ‘phablet’ field. Apple has managed to make the very first well-designed <b>smartphone</b> of epic scale, regardless of your thoughts on the plus point of the category as a whole.<br /></span></span></div>
<h2 style="text-align: left;">
<span style="color: #0b5394;"><span style="font-size: x-large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">Performance</span></span></span></h2>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;">The <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b> may be powering a much larger display, and it may need to output content at a higher resolution, but it’s not showing any additional strain vs. the <b>iPhone 6</b> despite the extra spadework required. The 64-bit A8 process that <b>Apple</b> has designed, which uses a new, smaller and more power-efficient 20nm process, is more than up to the task of serving up animations, swipes, switches and multitasking for the 6 Plus.<br /><br />If you’re new to the world of iOS and <b>iPhone</b>, you’ll most likely just note that the performance is excellent and move on. But if you’re upgrading from an older device, like perhaps the iPhone 4 or 4S, you’re going to instantly take note of just how speedy everything is with this new processor architecture. The screen sizes are stealing headlines, but the performance of the A8, in graphics-intensive applications and in rendering interface additions, means that you’ll be feeling the effects of Apple’s next-generation processor improvements long after people are used to the bigger displays.</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-size: large;"><span style="font-family: Times,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br />The <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b>, like the <b>iPhone 6</b>, also features faster wireless performance, on both cellular and Wi-Fi connections. The 802.11ac Wi-Fi felt blazingly fast when used on my home network, which is run from a current-generation Airport Extreme that supports the latest Wi-Fi speeds. LTE is now able to handle up to 150 mbps connections, where supported (and with 20 bands supported on a single model number, you’re more likely to find it works with carriers around the world). <b>Apple</b> has also worked with carriers to get LTE roaming working with more international carrier arrangements, and I found that my AT&T testing sim provided a strong Rogers LTE connection here in Canada.<br /><br /><br /><span style="color: #0b5394;"><b><span style="font-size: x-large;">Features</span></b></span><br /><br /><b>Apple</b> has brought a number of great new features to both the <b>iPhone 6 </b>and the <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b>, including <b>Apple</b> Pay, which works as advertised in demos but will launch publicly in October in the U.S., and ‘Focus Pixels’ phase discovery autofocus for faster, better picture taking. But there are a few featues that are specific to the <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b> that make it a device destined to appeal to both power users and everyday customers looking to simplify their life with a single gadget, instead of requiring both a tablet and phone (and even a computer).<br /><br />Reach ability is the feature <b>Apple</b> created to help users deal with much larger devices, in spite of the size of their hands and digits. The <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b> leans on this especially, as it’s impossible for anyone not in the NBA to reach their thumb across to the top opposite corner. I find it difficult to even reach across the other side of the screen, let alone the corner, when one-handing the device. Reach ability helps reach the stuff that’s in the top row, but it doesn’t bring down the status bar on the Home screen (it does in app), which would be helpful, and it’s still a stretch to reach the relocated opposite corner.<br /><br />For the majority tasks, I find the<a href="http://bestproductreviewer.com/2016/01/02/i-phone-6-plus-6s-plus-5-5-screen-protector/" target="_blank"> <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b></a> to be a two-handed device – but I also find that I’m absolutely fine with that. The 6 Plus is closer in usage style to an iPad mini, in my experience, albeit one that’s pocket able and capable of full cellular voice communications. Part of the reason that it works so well as a tablet-style gadget is that Apple has introduced special landscape support for both the home screen and some its first-party apps, which really add to my capability to be productive using them.<br /><br />The apps in question include Mail, Messages and Calendar, and these now offer up overviews in a column on the left, and detail views on the right, much like they do on tablet or desktop devices. In Mail, it lets you quickly scroll through and triage your email without having to constantly swipe back and forth, and in Messages, it lets you keep abreast of the latest goings on in multiple conversations at once. Using these landscape views successfully almost requires two-handed use, but it ends up feeling well worth the trade-off.<br /><br /><b>Apple</b> has also introduced new optical image stabilization for still pictures to the <b>iPhone 6 Plus</b>, and the effects are very remarkable. </span></span></div>
